At Goodspeed Getaways, we’re more than a business—we’re a multigenerational family dedicated to hospitality. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, we specialize in creating comfortable, spacious retreats designed for large groups, from family reunions to corporate retreats.
With decades of experience and a passion for design, our family combines expertise and creativity to offer properties that feel as inviting as home. Hosting is a shared endeavor across generations, blending tradition and fresh ideas to craft spaces where connection and memories thrive.
Bruce and Penny are lifelong Fort Worth entrepreneurs with a rich history in hospitality. In the 1980s, they founded a successful Christian bookstore chain, and by the 1990s, they had opened several restaurants in the area, all while Bruce continued his long career as a local broker. Since 2015, they’ve been dedicated short-term rental hosts, sharing their love of hospitality and customer service with guests. Married for over 50 years, they are proud parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents to a big family. When they’re not hosting, you’ll find them cheering on Aledo Bearcat high school football—a passion they’ve pursued at every game since the early 90s.
As a graphic designer and art director, Christopher brings a keen eye for aesthetics, while Rachel’s experience as a high-end event designer fuels her passion for creating beautiful, welcoming spaces. Together, they blend their creative talents to transform homes, crafting unique retreats designed for connection and comfort. With a busy blended family of seven grown kids and a love of travel, they share their journey—and their thoughtfully designed spaces—with guests and followers alike.
